About Hamila

The Islamic pregnancy companion built for Muslim mothers — by a team that cares about both your health and your faith.

Our Story

Hamila was born from a simple observation: Muslim mothers were juggling multiple apps during pregnancy — a generic tracker for kick counts, a separate adhkar app for morning supplications, saved screenshots of duas, and scattered notes on Islamic birth practices. None of those apps felt like they were made for them.
We built Hamila to change that. A single, calm, beautiful companion that brings together trusted pregnancy health tracking and authentic Islamic spiritual guidance — so that every Muslim mother can experience pregnancy as the act of worship it truly is.
The name Hamila (حاملة) means "she who carries" in Arabic — a small reminder that the journey of carrying new life is honoured, seen, and celebrated.

Our Mission

Our mission is to serve Muslim mothers worldwide with thoughtful pregnancy support that respects both modern health tracking needs and Islamic values.
From baby kick counting and contraction timing to daily dhikr, duas for each trimester, and Islamic birth-plan preparation — every feature in Hamila is designed to help mothers feel informed, reassured, and spiritually connected throughout their entire pregnancy journey.

Our Approach to Islamic Content

The duas, dhikr, and Islamic guidance in Hamila are curated with care from recognised Islamic sources — primarily the Quran and authenticated hadith collections. We aim to clearly distinguish between Quranic duas, Prophetic supplications, and widely practiced Islamic recommendations so that mothers can engage with every piece of content with full confidence.
Where scholarly opinions differ, we note this and present the most widely accepted positions. We are committed to making Islamic birth practices — from tahnik and the adhān to aqīqah and choosing a name — accessible and understandable for every mother, regardless of background.

Our Values

Everything we build at Hamila is guided by four core commitments.
Authenticity
All Islamic content is drawn from the Quran and authenticated hadith and reviewed for accuracy before it appears in the app.
Compassion
We design every interaction with empathy — pregnancy is an emotional journey and Hamila is here to support, never to stress.
Privacy
Your health data is yours. We encrypt everything, never sell your data, and you can request full deletion at any time.
Inclusivity
Hamila is built for Muslim mothers across cultures, languages, and schools of thought — every mother deserves an app that feels made for her.

Who We Serve

Hamila is built for Muslim mothers across different cultures, languages, and schools of thought who want a pregnancy app that feels genuinely made for them. Whether you are navigating your first pregnancy or welcoming your fifth child, whether you are based in London, Jakarta, or Riyadh — Hamila is for you.
We want every expecting mother to feel supported through each trimester with tools that are practical, respectful, and rooted in faith. And we want every father, partner, and family member to feel included in this journey too.
