Your baby's fingers and toes are now fully separated, and tiny fingernail beds are beginning to form.

Development at Week 11

At 11 weeks, the webbing between the fingers and toes has disappeared and each digit is distinct. Your baby is breathing amniotic fluid in and out to develop the lungs, and the diaphragm is also forming. The irises of the eyes are developing, though the eyelids will remain fused shut until around week 26.
