Surah Ya-Sin During Pregnancy — The Heart of the Quran

سُورَةُ يس

The Prophet ﷺ called Ya-Sin the heart of the Quran (Tirmidhi 2887). Its verses move through creation, resurrection, and Allah's power to bring life from what seems lifeless — "His command is only when He intends a thing that He says to it: Be, and it is" (36:82).

For a mother in her second trimester, feeling the first movements of a life being created within her, Ya-Sin reads differently than at any other time. Its themes of life given, sustained, and returned make it a surah of profound reassurance during pregnancy.
