Development at Week 23

At 23 weeks, your baby's skin is still translucent and wrinkled, but fat is accumulating to gradually fill it out. The vestibular system, which controls balance and spatial orientation, is fully functioning. Babies born at this stage are considered at the edge of viability with intensive medical support.
