Baby development

Weight gain continues each day.
The fetus usually stays curled with the chin, arms, and knees tucked.
Movement may feel more like wiggles and rolls in the tight space.

Your body

Weekly visits may check the baby's position, growth, and wellbeing.
Pelvic pressure, frequent urination, sleep difficulty, and contractions can increase.
Labor can begin, but many pregnancies continue for several more weeks.

This week's checklist

Keep transport, identification, contact numbers, and your bag ready.
Review when your care team wants you to call for contractions or broken waters.
Rest and conserve energy rather than trying to finish every task.

Call your care team

Contact maternity care immediately for reduced movement, bleeding, leaking fluid, or contractions that match your team's labor guidance.
Seek urgent help for severe headache with vision changes, sudden swelling, chest pain, fainting, severe abdominal pain, or trouble breathing.

Medical information, not medical advice

Every pregnancy is different. Use this guide for general education and follow the advice of your own maternity care team. Do not delay urgent care because of something you read here.
